Confused

confusedChildren and adults who are abused don’t necessarily want revenge through physical violence…. We just want the abuse to STOP.

This week’s “Stop Feeding the Predators” helps adults understand how easily children can be confused. Using the phrases such as “Good touch / bad touch” or saying “I’ll kill anyone who touches you” can actually prevent children from telling adults about abuse that has happened.

Learn how keeping things simple can help. Offering words such as: “If anyone touches or talks to you in a way that makes you feel confused (you don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing) or weird, please tell me so I can help you.”
